All Saints’ Weekend

All Saints’ Weekend

This weekend in worship we remember all the saints who have died. We light candles to remember the promise in baptism, that “if we have been united with Jesus in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with Jesus in a resurrection like his.” We name their names and give thanks that they are beloved of God.

Worship this Weekend (November 4-6)

For All Saints’ worship this year, you’ll notice that we have added a collection of candles on the chancel in place of the banners with the saints’ names. This image captures all the saints who’ve died this year in light.

In addition, the Central Choir will offer Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem within the context of our traditional All Saints Day service. Come support the choir in this challenging, yet musically rewarding, masterwork.

Bulletins:
Saturday, November 4, 5 p.m. service
Sunday, November 5, 8:30 a.m. service
Sunday, November 5, 10:30 a.m. service
