The God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.

Changes to Restoration Center

The Restoration Center has been up and running throughout the pandemic and we have been creative and flexible in both trying to serve the folks who need food and clothing while also keeping them and our volunteers and our staff safe.

The meal will continue to be served “to-go” style every Monday at 11:30 a.m. We will limit the number of volunteers and there will only be seating for folks who are too frail to carry their food away. We know folks rely on the Monday meals and we feel that they can be continued in the safest ways possible.

As the seasons change again and we are catching a little bit of spring in the air, we need to restock the Free Store with some new wares. We no longer need as much winter gear and will start accepting the following donations on March 7.

  • Men’s pants
  • Shoes (in good condition)
  • Towels, washcloths, sheets (preferably in sets)
  • Blankets
  • Dishes, pots, pans, skillets, knives (in good condition)
  • Silverware, glasses and cups
  • Small kitchen appliances (coffee makers, toasters, blenders)

We will receive donations during our regular hours: Sunday through Thursday 9:00-11:00 a.m. Please bring your donations to the loading dock.

The Augsburg Central Health Commons will continue to run it’s regular hours of Mondays and Thursday 10:00-11:30 a.m. for low impact nursing needs.

We are doing our part at Central to still provide the basic services folks need while trying to maintain safety and being people who hear the call to feed the hungry and clothe the naked seriously. If you have any questions or concerns about the Restoration Center, please reach out to Pastor Melissa at mpohlman@centralmpls.org.
