The God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, support, strengthen, and establish you.
I Peter 5:10
The Restoration Center is a drop-in center for people in downtown Minneapolis experiencing homelessness and poverty. Services include: resource assistance, employment services, clothing, meals, worship, Bible study, computers, support groups, yoga, and more! The Augsburg Central Health Commons, which provides basic medical services, is a collaboration with Augsburg College.
Central provides a free community meal every Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in fellowship hall. All are welcome!
We rely on the work of dedicated volunteers to help us serve. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve meals, sort clothing, meet and greet guests, provide hospitality, work with our employment team and work with individuals by listening, learning and loving.
Central is heavily involved with Downtown Congregations to End Homelessness in justice and advocacy efforts. Systemic change is needed in order to have a healthy community. We need people who want to advocate to end homelessness.
