New Seasonal Paraments

This weekend, we are delighted to unveil a new set of paraments in beautiful shades of green, the liturgical color for the time after Pentecost. Because this church season, also known as Ordinary Time, is long, a designer worked with greens that move us from the fresh yellow greens of spring to the bright Kelly greens of summer to the deep and rich greens of autumn.

The altar cloths hang in a series of five panels and bear images of leaves and acorns. If you look closely, you’ll see the images in the altar panels mirroring the metal work in our architecture, both in the church building and the parking ramp. The stoles and chasubles reflect the colors of the seasons, including yellows, oranges, and reds.

We are grateful for memorials entrusted to us by our great saints that enable us to bring new life to our historic building and furnishings. Enjoy these beautiful paraments and watch how they change as the season progresses.
