Groups for Adults
Young Adults
Young Adults, or members in the 20- to 30-something age range, is a self-led group that organizes events they enjoy. They’re energized by gathering as people of faith. The group finds its way to a variety of events such as a trip to a ball game or an apple orchard.
Grief Support Group
Anyone who’s traveled on the path of grief knows it’s an experience unlike any other. Whether you’re brand-new to the emotions of loss, or you’ve lived with the emotions for years, support is available to you.
Older, Wiser, Lutheran Seniors (OWLS)
Building and sustaining community is at the core of everything we do at Central. One of the ways seniors can nurture relationships is through OWLS (Older Wiser Lutheran Senior) events. From museum tours to local performances and outdoor events, there’s something for everyone.
Rainbow Circle
All LGBTQIA+ folks are invited to a happy hour on Sunday, January 21, as we celebrate Reconciling in Christ weekend and launch a Rainbow Circle. Central will provide the appetizers for our first social and attendees will purchase their own drinks.
Music Ensembles
There are many ways to get involved with music at Central Lutheran. The Central Choir, the Central Bell Choir, and StreetSong MN all make music throughout the program year (September-April). All are full of opportunity for musical performances, learning, and lots of fun.
Volunteers
Central has many opportunities for you to volunteer. From quilting to hosting events and funerals, from sorting clothes and serving food at the restoration center to reaching out to those who can’t get to church anymore, there are numerous ways to share in the love of community at Central.
