Central’s kids will return to regular programming on Sunday, September 13 at 9:30 a.m. Before we talk about what’s new, let’s take a look at what we’ve been up to this summer.
The Sunday School children have been learning about God’s love through the lens of stars. The Bible tells many a story using stars as symbols for God’s expansive love and Jesus’ remarkable light. Vacation Bible School welcomed children each month for Bible stories, crafts, activities, and more.
The middle and high school students traveled to learning places beyond Central. The 6th-8th graders paddled with great guides from Amnicon, making new friends and celebrating old ones. The high school kids spent a week in Alabama and Georgia learning about God’s call to “do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.”
Now that summer is nearly over, we look ahead to more friends, more fun, and more learning. Sunday school begins on September 13. For high school students, there are no forms required, just regular attendance on Sundays, as we plan for the ELCA National Youth Gathering next summer.
All youth programming begins on Sunday, September 13 at 9:30 a.m. in the Great Room for Intergenerational Learning. Classrooms will be ready to welcome all on Sunday, September 20 at 9:30 a.m.
