The Global Mission Team Introduces New YAGMs

The theme this year at Central is “The Welcome of a Steadfast God.” Kheh-sed, the Hebrew term for steadfast, translates to: God’s loving kindness, mercy, and faithfulness at the very core of his character and actions. I believe that this reflects Central and our support of Global Missions.

For many years, Central has supported the Young Adults in Global Mission or YAGMs. We have supported two students/young adults each year who choose to devote a year abroad, showing lovingkindness and mercy to children and families of different cultures.

Last year, we prayed for and helped finance Isabelle Demarest, who spent her year in Obera, Argentina and Kristie Olson, who was serving in Budapest, Hungary. We have the pleasure of inviting them into our church family on November 8 to share some of their many experiences during their time abroad.

This year, we will be following Dinkenesh Coltvet from Roseville; she is spending her year in the United Kingdom. We will also follow J’mariyour Jordan of Minneapolis, who will be living in Mexico for the year. My hope is that Central will be steadfast in praying for and supporting these YAGMs throughout their year abroad, as they share the gift of God’s unwavering love through their actions and character.
