You are invited to the Annual Church Picnic this weekend, following the 10:30 a.m. worship service. It is our annual faith community gathering, held on the weekend before Labor Day. Dave and Dwayne will tend the grill; Jo and the kitchen staff and volunteers will have sides for us. Great volunteers will help with hospitality and the day’s offerings. Along with picnic food and beverages, there will be activities for the kids and bingo for all ages. It is a moment to slow down into the gift of our life together.
The Central Church picnic brings to a close the Summer on the Plaza offerings, (the food trucks and carillon concerts). We are certainly blessed to have opportunities for fellowship on Saturday night, between services on Sunday, after the 10:30 a.m. service, and on Monday after worship. I hope that if you are a regular Saturday night worshipper, an 8:30 a.m. worshipper, or part of the Monday worship community, you might stop by at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday to join the picnic and celebrate all of who we are called to be as the Central faith community. Maybe you might even win a fun bingo prize!
