Peter Nycklemoe serves as a part of the shared pastoral team with the specific role of generosity and lead pastor. Peter has had the privilege of serving alongside the great people and talented staff of Central since December 2014. His previous calls include Zion, Anoka, MN, Mount Olive, Rochester, MN, Martin Luther, Milwaukee, WI, and Zion, Racine, WI. He has served as a pastor in the ELCA for over 37 years.
Peter is married to Kathie, who is the senior pastor at St. Stephen in Bloomington, MN. They have three adult children, Marin, Karl, and Sam (who is married to Siri), a grandson, Henrik, and one grand-dog, Luka, who belongs to Sam and Siri. In their free time, Kathie and Peter enjoy traveling, hiking, and time with family. When Peter has the chance, he loves to fly fish in the trout streams of southern Minnesota and Wisconsin.
If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you choose and why?
I’d live on one of the San Juan Islands in Puget Sound because of the beauty and the fishing!
