Sunday School & VBS
Sunday School
During the program year (September to May), children ages three through eleven are invited to attend Sunday School. We gather in a large group at 9:30 a.m. for a story and time for discussion. Then, we move into smaller classrooms for more individualized learning prepared by our amazing volunteers. Children enjoy meeting new friends and learning the stories of Jesus.
We kick off the Sunday School each year with Rally Day! Rally Day is an event packed with fun, and it gives kids and families a chance to meet their Sunday School instructors and get familiar with the theme for the program year. For the 2025-26 program year, Rally Day is scheduled for Sunday, September 7.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
During summer months, children ages three through eleven are invited to attend VBS. At Central, we set aside three Sundays (one each month) for VBS. Just bring your kids to church from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., where we sing, play, learn, share fun snacks, and hear stories about Jesus and God’s people throughout history.
In summer 2025, we will explore the question, “Where did Jesus live?” We’ll look at the city of Bethlehem and what the stable might have looked like. We’ll look at the area around Nazareth and Capernaum and what houses looked like in those cities. And, we’ll think about where Jesus slept when he was traveling around the cities and communities he visited. We’ll think about and learn what Jesus ate and how he cooked his food and what he might have done in his free time. Use the button below to learn more and register for summer 2025.
