Jovan “Jo” Wright was born and raised in Minnesota. She grew up in North Minneapolis and currently resides there. She graduated from North High School and later, from Dunwoody College of Technology, where she focused on electronics.
Prior to working at Central, Jo has worked at assisted living care facilities, treatment centers, daycares, and even at Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity house on the University of Minnesota campus.
Jo loves to feed people. She takes pride in her ability to relate to people and cook them nutritious foods that they will love. She is passionate about vegetables (especially greens!) and finding creative ways to get them in front of people so that they will eat and enjoy.
Cooking is a passion, but so is eating! Jo is a “foodie” who loves to try different foods from different cultures, techniques, and styles. She also thinks it is fun to try to duplicate those dishes.
When not at Central, Jo might be spending time with her son (Edward) or grandson (Baby Ed, four years old). She enjoys eating out, attending comedy shows and concerts (but they have to have good acoustics!), and doing puzzles.
If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you choose and why?
“I always thought I would retire in New York City because I love busy places.”
