Sabbath to End Homelessness Weekend

The Align Central Ministry Team will be putting together informational displays about ending homelessness that will give you all the statistics and facts, best practices, and what is working. They will also host two “Ask an Expert” times for you to interact with an expert in homelessness. Our experts will be people from Street Voices of Change. This will be held after the 5 p.m. Saturday service and after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service. The Adult Forum on October 11 will feature Pastor Melissa discussing how a steadfast God, full of mercy and loving kindness, is found in community.

Sabbath to End Homelessness will be in October this year because we have recently joined the National Faith Coalition to End Homelessness and they invite congregations to have a Weekend to End Homelessness on October 10-12. This newly formed coalition is focusing on helping congregations move from a model of mission and charity to a model of accompaniment and solidarity.
