The Letter to the Philippians: A Contemplative Life of Joy
Wednesday evening Bible Study resumes for the fall on October 7, 6 p.m., in person or on Zoom.
Paul’s letter to the Philippians is often remembered for its joyful tone: “Rejoice in the Lord always.” Philippians is a deeply contemplative letter, as well. Paul extends an invitation to see Christ, ourselves, suffering, community, and the future from a different center. At the heart of the letter is a contemplative movement: to behold Christ, to allow Christ’s mind to shape us, and to live from the deep joy and peace that emerge from that vision.
You are invited to join this four-week Bible study, led by Pastor Peter. A study guide will be available on the website, along with the Zoom link if you choose to join online.
Plan to attend all four sessions or join when you are able; each session stands alone.
