Fraud Identification and Prevention

Sponsored by the Central Lutheran Church Foundation, this session provides a practical, easy-to-understand guide to recognizing and avoiding common forms of cybercrime that target all of us. Andrew Prokop, AARP member, Fraud Watch Network and Advocacy Team volunteer, will present real-world examples of phishing emails, text-message scams, fake tech-support calls, romance and investment scams, identity theft, and fraudulent websites, with an emphasis on the warning signs that can help you spot a scam before it’s too late.
