Once or twice a year, we offer a week-long community organizing training for our members and our community partners working to bring about structural change that makes life better for the most marginalized.
Power and Strategy: Organizing to Win
Too often when we try to address problems in our community, we end up stuck in cycles that can drain energy and don’t move us forward. Maybe we get trapped endlessly researching and analyzing, maybe we struggle to tell our story in a way that compels others to join us, and sometimes we just don’t even know where to start. Bring your favorite co-conspirators and join our diverse group of organizations for a week of community organizing training that will take us from the basics of power analysis and choosing an issue all the way to crafting an issue campaign, filling your toolbox with effective strategies and methods that will help you and your communities win concrete improvements in people’s lives. This training will serve both seasoned organizers as well as those who are brand new to using an organizing lens to work for change.
