After the joy of Easter and the fire of Pentecost, the church enters the long season called “the time after Pentecost” or “ordinary time.” This is a quieter stretch of the year: a season of waiting, growing, and living in the everyday rhythm of life.
In that spirit, the Fine Arts Ministry Team has chosen to display textile-based art in the church entryway. Textiles speak to us in a deeply human and physical way. They are woven, stitched, layered, repaired, and held together, much like our lives and our community of faith.
These works invite us to reflect on the ways God’s love surrounds and shelters us. As we move through this long season of ordinary time, may these textiles remind us that God’s grace blankets us, our church is a place of welcome, and in Christ, we are always being gathered home.
