DESCRIPTION:The Central Cares for Creation (C3) Team will be celebrating Earth Month by offering a way for you to recycle your old electronics and cords and by shredding any paper documents you no longer need. The bins for e-waste recycling will be on the loading dock on Saturday\, April 18 and Sunday\, April 19. The paper shredding bins will be inside the church starting that weekend and remaining for about a month. We offer these opportunities because we believe caring for our planet is a responsibility God gave to the first people and it has been passed down through the ages to us. By recycling these items we keep them out of landfills and reclaim their materials and energy for more use. A meal is available prior to rehearsal\, and bus tokens are provided. The choir has appeared at the Central Library in downtown Minneapolis\, the Mall of America as part of its Holiday Music Festival\, the annual Homeless Memorial March and Service and at various churches and mosques. In April 2016\, StreetSong MN performed at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.

DESCRIPTION:We gather every non-holiday Monday at 11:30 a.m. to eat lunch together. The meal is planned by our great kitchen staff and accomplished by our team of faithful volunteers. It is a meal served to folks at tables and we get a chance to enjoy some fellowship. DESCRIPTION:StreetSong MN Choir \n  \nWho: Persons ‘experienced’ in homelessness – i.e. persons currently or formerly homeless\, and those who care about them.\nRehearsal time: Mondays\, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.\nContact: Katie Dillon\, Director of Align Minneapolis \nStreetSong draws on the experiences\, hopes\, and aspirations of its members to produce a choral experience promoting personal fulfillment and the development of community. A meal is available prior to rehearsal\, and bus tokens are provided. The choir has appeared at the Central Library in downtown Minneapolis\, the Mall of America as part of its Holiday Music Festival\, the annual Homeless Memorial March and Service and at various churches and mosques. In April 2016\, StreetSong MN performed at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.

DESCRIPTION:The Augsburg Central Health Commons\nAnyone looking for diapers\, hygiene supplies\, one-on-one nurse consultations\, or just to have a place to sit and rest are welcome. Volunteers often spend time visiting with members of the community\, distributing donations\, and setting up the space. Faculty\, students\, and volunteers also provide basic care such as blood pressure checks or basic foot care. The hope is that the moments here can allow guests to address their health needs as they deem necessary\, and the work can lead to addressing health inequities and foster healing.

DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join the Listening for God contemplative prayer group at any time. The group gathers each second Sunday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Peter leads this prayer gathering grounded in various contemplative prayer practices. Each month a practice is introduced and then experienced. For those that wish to share\, we pause to reflect on the experience and how God is present. It is also a time when you do not need to share anything\, simply be present for this time of prayer. We gather in the prayer space in the back corner of the sanctuary and wrap up by 1:30 p.m.
