SUMMARY:E-waste Recycling Event
DESCRIPTION:The Central Cares for Creation (C3) Team will be celebrating Earth Month by offering a way for you to recycle your old electronics and cords and by shredding any paper documents you no longer need. The bins for e-waste recycling will be on the loading dock on Saturday\, April 18 and Sunday\, April 19. The paper shredding bins will be inside the church starting that weekend and remaining for about a month. We offer these opportunities because we believe caring for our planet is a responsibility God gave to the first people and it has been passed down through the ages to us. By recycling these items we keep them out of landfills and reclaim their materials and energy for more use. DESCRIPTION:Another place in which adult formation is nurtured by story is through the monthly Empowering Conversations. \nEmpowering Conversations occurs on the third Sunday of the month\, following the community meal. A guest speaker is invited to come share stories about our community and the things that we and our neighbors are facing. Generally\, those gathered are invited into discussion on the topic. \nApril Empowering Conversations\nIn April’s Empowering Conversations\, the Rev. Jim Antal\, author of Climate Church\, Climate World\, will join us via Zoom for a conversation about our call as churches to tend to the needs of climate change. Come and hear his prophetic voice on what we need to be doing now to protect our planet in the future.

This group is meant for anyone experiencing loss of any kind\, whether it be health\, a job\, a close friend\, a pet\, housing\, etc. The group will be facilitated by individuals familiar with and experienced in helping people help each other through listening and offering support in a safe\, nonjudgmental\, and engaging setting.  \nMeeting Location: Nativity or Fireside
