DESCRIPTION:Join Pastors Melissa\, Peter\, and Stephanie for the fall’s Bible study on Stories of Home in Scripture. The season begins on October 1 at 6 p.m. This offering is available both in person and online\, so join us in whatever setting is best for you. The first four-week session will explore the stories of home in the Hebrew Scriptures or Old Testament. The second four-week session shifts to the New Testament where we will see that Jesus\, while here to live and dwell among us\, never really had a home of his own. \nJoin us as we read and study the many ways we find our home in community and in Jesus Christ. DESCRIPTION:The Rev. Yehiel Curry was elected as the next presiding bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) at the ELCA Churchwide Assembly on July 30. He will begin this role on October 1\, and be installed at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis on October 4. This event will be open to the public and tickets are not required. Due to the timing of this event\, we will not have the usual Saturday evening worship service at 5 p.m.\, nor the Sunday Meal (cookies and beverages will be served instead).
