Empowering Conversations

For our first Empowering Conversation of the program year, we will welcome the Rev. Dr. Karoline Lewis from Luther Seminary. As Professor of Biblical Preaching and The Marbury E. Anderson Chair of Biblical Preaching at Luther Seminary, Karoline will lead us into “Stories of Home” by opening us to the abiding presence of Jesus using images from the Gospel of John. “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” These beautiful words from John 1 launch our season as we dwell in stories of home.

Another place in which adult formation is nurtured by story is through the monthly Empowering Conversations.

Empowering Conversations occurs on the third Sunday of the month, following the community meal. A guest speaker is invited to come share stories about our community and the things that we and our neighbors are facing. Generally, those gathered are invited into discussion on the topic.
