We are God’s people—called to live in and live-out Christ’s love. God blesses us to be a blessing. Jesus Christ loves us so we know how to love. The Spirit calls us to be stewards of the heart of God, always! 24 hours, 7 days a week!

Ways to be a Steward 24/7

PRAY! God welcomes prayers. Pray for others. Pray for the ministry of Central Lutheran Church. To share a prayer request, you may complete a pew-card or email Jeni Hill in the Church Office at jhill@centralmpls.org

WORSHIP! Everyone is welcome to worship at Central to celebrate the love of Christ in the world. Sunday services are at 8:30 and 11 a.m., and 7 p.m. Share and discover the love of Christ with us through Sunday Fellowship, Adult Education, and Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. During the summer, celebrate Sunday worship at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.

CELEBRATE with Clothes Closet community ministry! It begins each Monday morning with worship at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome! Help in the kitchen as Central provides lunch every Monday for hundreds from our neighborhood. Stay and continue social ministry outreach community programs.

READ THE BIBLE—it is good for you! A list of daily Bible readings is printed on the back of the Weekly Spirit. They follow our church lectionary through the church year. Participate in a Bible study at Central. The daily devotion book Christ in Our Home is available at the Church Office.

READ OFTEN! The Central Library is located between the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. Enrich your life, check out a book, and faithfully read!

RECYCLE and help to protect God’s creation. We are blessed by God and called to be responsible citizens in our local and global communities. Be caretakers of the healthy environment we have received from God.

JOIN OTHERS AT CENTRAL! Many groups provide regular opportunities to enrich your faith journey. They are: Men’s Fellowship, Senior High Youth Group, Central OWLS (Older Wiser Lutheran Seniors), Central Lutheran Church Women, Twin Cities Peace with Justice Forum. TAKE TIME TO LEARN! Study God’s Word and discover more about Christ’s church in the world. Central has one of the best Sunday morning educational programs for adults and youth. Lifelong Learning opportunities, Global Mission Forums, and a variety of Bible studies are available almost every Sunday for adults. Sunday School for children and learning options for Junior and Senior High youth are always part of Central’s Sunday education hour.

GIVE CHEERFULLY! Your dollars make ministry happen every day! Discover joyful giving as you give to Central’s General Fund, and make a “legacy gift” to the Central Lutheran Church Foundation for the future support of our ministry. 

Prayerfully consider your call as Christ's disciple and steward, then complete the Financial Pledge and Commitment of Service cards. Take an additional pledge to protect God's creation by completing the Commitment of Environmental Stewardship card.  Email your  completed cards to Jeni Hill or mail them to the  church address listed below.
