Prayer is a strong wall and fortress of the church.

— Martin Luther

Central's Labyrinth

The labyrinth is available for walking every day during lent (except March 7th, March 20 and March 21) whenever the church is open.  The labyrinth is located in the Community Room.  The church office staff can direct you to the location of the labyrinth if you are unfamiliar with the building.

Central's new labyrinth, manufactured by The Labyrinth Company, is a neo-medieval 7-circuit model named à la Chartres™ St. Paul™ and is based on the famous Chartres labyrinth.  The labyrinth was dedicated on Sunday, February 22, 2009 and that is also when its inaugural walks were completed.  Central was honored to welcome Lisa Gidlow Moriarty of Paths of Peace as Central's speaker for the event offered in partnership with the Life Long Learning ministry team.

World Labyrinth Day

May 2, 2009 is World Labyrinth Day.  The Labyrinth at Central will be open for walking from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. that day.  You can find more information about this event at the Labyrinth Society web site or use the search engine at the World Wide Labyrinth Locator to find labyrinths near you open that day for walking.  (Hint:  Choose "World Labyrinth Day Location" and the bottom of the list of categories.)
