Celebrating Youth at Central!

Central is a place where children and youth experience the wideness of Jesus' love and grace in tangible, lasting ways.  We desire to foster a safe and welcoming environment where our young members may grow in relationship with God and others, in personal awareness, and as disciples of Christ in the world.

We welcome all young people to join us as we celebrate, discover and share the love of Christ with each other and those around us.

With this in mind, we seek to meaningfully connect our children and youth with Central’s congregational life and calling as a whole so that they may be intimately involved in learning and service, worship and music, peace and justice, hospitality and fellowship.

 

Some of the highlights of our program for Confirmation and Senior High Youth:

• A newly renovated and inviting youth room with modern audio-visual technology for teaching and learning. Come and see!
• Confirmation class (sixth through eighth grade) and Senior High Bible Study on consecutive Sunday mornings during the education hour;
• Opportunities for youth to have worship leadership roles;
• Ecumenical partnership with fellow urban churches and their youth groups;
• A variety of service-learning and faith formation retreats and activities throughout the year;
• Summer senior high mission trip and junior high Camp Amnicon canoeing trip
