The Children & Family Ministry at Central Lutheran Church invites you to learn about the variety of ways your family can be involved and spiritually nurtured at Central Lutheran Church. We celebrate families of all types and know that God speaks to us in and through our children.
We encourage you to join in one or more of our present ministries. We also hope you will suggest new ideas that are of interest to you.

Worship
Children are always welcome in worship. We believe children are essential to our worship community and we encourage child participation. Please know that the nursery is available for children birth to age 4.
Pew Bags & bibles
Children are encouraged to learn about worship by participating. We provide Spark Story Bibles in some pews for your family's enjoyment. The pew bag team has also provided fabric activity bags filled with age-appropriate activities to keep children engaged during worship. Pew bags are distributed around the perimeter of the sactuary for you to take to the pew with you.
Sunday School
Join us for Sunday morning family gathering time. Youth & Family Minister; Greer will introduce Bible story theme for the month of Rotational Sunday School. Then kids get into their age group, we all participate in Songs with Simon, which gives the children an opportunity to learn the classic Sunday School songs. Then small groups enage in Bible Story and prayer. After that each small group goes to a different rotation station; Drama, Science, Crafts or Music to learn about the Bible story for the month through the various activity. This allows children with different learning styles to be engaged, have fun and learn about the Bible. We offer classes for children from 3 years old--6th grade in they which focus on the Bible. Enjoy the new SPARK experience from Augsburg Fortress Publishers. We use SPARK Story Bibles and curriculum.www.activatefaith.org Join us for high-spirited music, puppet shows, games, inspiring education, awesome service projects and snacks. Parents can enjoy coffee and fellowship in the brand new Parent Lounge. ALL families are welcome, from babies to grandparents and everyone in between! *9:45am-10:45am in room 222
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Central invites you and your family to come enjoy summer-long VBS. Music, Bible stories, Games, Dinner and lots of fun! Join with us as we explore God's message. Central's VBS focuses on the family, because together, as a family we can grow stronger in faith. Watch for Summer 2011 dates. We hope you will join us!
FAMILY CAMP
Family Camp opportunities are available during the summer, winter and spring. We invite families to come along with other families and enjoy adventures through: skiing, snow-tubing, hiking, swimming, camp fires, etc. Through these experiences we get to enjoy fellowship with each other and get to know other families. Please consider how much fun this would be for your family. All families are welcome! Meet new friends, have lots of fun and get away from busy life to enjoy time with your family. NURSERY
Children are always welcome at Central’s worship services. The nursery is provided for your convenience if you choose to use it. It is available for newborns through age 5 on Saturday evening worship, Sunday morning worship and for many special events. A childcare specialist is always present to offer loving care for your child. If you are interested in volunteering to help in the nursery contact Greer.
Cradle Roll
A wonderful curriculum designed by Augsburg Fortress: SPLASH for parents of newborns to incorporate spiritual development into the life of their child(ren). You’ll receive monthly packets of material with ideas for nurturing faith for the next three years.
